Designed for a Kuwait-based NRI family, The Arched Home is a contemporary residence built close to the client's ancestral property in Kerala, creating a strong connection between modern living and family roots. Planned for a family of four, the home also includes welcoming spaces for visiting relatives, making togetherness a central part of the design.
Inspired by timeless architectural forms, graceful arches are repeated throughout the home, while exposed brick, white plastered walls, and natural materials create a warm, enduring character. The staircase forms the heart of the home, flooding the interiors with natural light through a double-height void and creating a seamless visual connection across levels. Landscaped courtyards, shaded verandahs, and generous openings invite daylight, cross ventilation, and greenery into every space.
The result is a climate-responsive home that celebrates simplicity, honest materials, and thoughtful planning, offering a peaceful retreat deeply rooted in Kerala's architectural spirit.
